Parcels over 2kg are sent by DPD Next Day+ service

This service is fully tracked with tracking details readily available. You can normally expect delivery to take place on the 3^rd day after purchase.

 

 

 

 

DPD wants to deliver emission free in cities, so they’re creating a network of all-electric micro-depots so that their all-electric vehicles are located closer to customers. Shoppers will also get their next-day delivery in a cleaner, quieter and more sustainable way.

 

Project BREATHE is DPD's air quality monitoring programme. They launched BREATHE in London in 2020 they later expanded the programme to include Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester in 2021. Across these cities they have installed 370 mobile sensors onto their vans and 47 fixed sensors on their depots and pick up shops, these sensors measure harmful PM2.5 (Particulate matter) levels in the city every 13 seconds and help to visualise the air quality and identify any hotspots of PM2.5 in the cities.

They then provide this data to local authorities and academic institutions where the data can be used to shape policy and inform future research.

As a part of Project BREATHE they provide access to Pollutrack airDiag dashboards which can be used to find out the air quality of any location within the six cities.
